| Opis rewersu | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four recessed compartments of roughly equal size by raised intersecting bars, forming a windmill or mill-sail pattern typical of early archaic Greek coinage. The incuse is deeply impressed and asymmetric, consistent with a hand-punched reverse die of the early sixth century BC. The surface within each quadrant shows uneven texturing characteristic of the hammered technique employed at Kyzikos during this period. |
