A beaded inner border frames the design, with a partial Cyrillic legend distributed across the field reading СВЯТОПОЛКЪ НА СТОЛѢ ('Sviatopolk on the throne'). The crude but vigorous die-cutting reflects the early Rus hammered coinage tradition, closely imitating Byzantine iconographic conventions. Two test holes are visible on the flan. |

To the right of the enthroned figure, the dynastic trident tamga of the Rurikid house is depicted within an architectural or decorative frame, serving as the dynastic symbol of the issuer. The field is worn and shows typical surface degradation consistent with billon alloy and age, with a beaded border around the periphery. Two test holes are present on the flan, indicating the coin was tested for metal content in antiquity. The reverse design closely follows the type established by Vladimir I, adapted for Sviatopolk's brief reign. |
