Reverse description Brahmi legend filling the square flan, reading 'ku-ja', arranged in a bold, schematic monogram-like composition occupying the central field. The characters are rendered in a stylised, deeply struck manner typical of Kidarite copper coinage from the Gandhara mint. Horizontal and vertical strokes of the Brahmi script dominate the design, with subsidiary lines above. The irregular square flan has a rough, raised border corresponding to the hammered fabric of the piece.
