正面描述 Facing bust of Theudebert I, helmeted and cuirassed in late Roman imperial style, with large frontal eyes characteristic of Merovingian die-cutting. The king wears a crested helmet adorned with a beaded diadem and is depicted with a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. A shield is visible to the left and a spear or sceptre to the right of the bust. The surrounding field is bounded by a beaded border, with the Latin legend running continuously around the effigy.
