She holds a long scepter in her left hand and a globus in her right, while her right foot rests upon the prow of a ship, symbolizing naval supremacy. The throne is elaborately ornamented with lions' head finials. The reverse legend CONCOR-DIA AVGGG arcs across the field, with the mint mark CONOB inscribed in the exergue, denoting gold of the highest purity struck at Constantinople. |
