A Lombard monogram of Duke Gisulf II appears in the lower left field. The circular legend, read in segments around the cross, references the victory of the Augustus and includes the mint mark CONOB in the exergue, signifying Constantinople as the prototype mint, though the coin was struck at Benevento. |
