Obverse description Central field occupied by a large composite monogram in Ancient South Arabian script, rendered in high relief with bold, deeply cut strokes. The monogram is enclosed within a neatly executed dotted circular border (beaded border), which follows the slightly concave flan. The design is characteristic of Himyarite royal coinage, where royal or dynastic monograms served as primary obverse devices. The flan is irregular and convex on this face, consistent with scyphate hammered production.
