| Opis rewersu | A stylised horse prancing to the right occupies the central field, rendered in the abstract Celtic manner with a curved, segmented body and attenuated limbs. Above the horse a prominent arc of pellets forms a border along the upper rim, while a large concentric-circle motif with flanking spiral and pellet ornaments appears to the left of the horse, characteristic decorative elements of the Icenian 'P' series. The abbreviated legend SCA, with the A lacking a crossbar, appears in the lower field in a crude Latin script. The overall composition reflects the distinctive schematic draftsmanship of Icenian silver unit coinage struck in the immediate post-conquest period. |
