| Obverse description | Stylised facing head rendered in the late Celtic abstract tradition, composed of two opposed crescentic arcs meeting at the centre of the flan to suggest the brow and chin, with a vertical bar dividing the field and pellets distributed across the design as decorative and symbolic elements. The overall composition is highly schematic, reducing the human face to geometric components characteristic of British Iron Age coinage. The surfaces are irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production on a crudely prepared flan. No legend or inscription appears on this side. |

| Reverse description | A stylised horse depicted in profile to the right, executed in the schematic Celtic manner typical of late Icenian coinage, with a curved body, segmented limbs, and ancillary pellets and ring ornaments filling the field around the animal. A wheel or rosette motif may appear beneath the horse, consistent with the ABC 1657 type. The tribal inscription ECEN appears in the field, attesting to Icenian tribal identity. The design is characteristic of the final phase of pre-Roman British coinage produced in the territory of the Iceni in what is now East Anglia. |
