Decorative rings occupy the field behind the head, while crescents and pellet rosettes fill the space before the face in a characteristic horror vacui arrangement. Beneath the tail appears either a V-shaped device or a cross with pellet-tipped terminals, varying by die; above the horse, a cruciform arrangement of rings and crescents fills the upper field.
