Beneath the tail appears either a V-shaped device or a cross with pellet-tipped terminals, varying by die; above the horse, a cruciform arrangement of rings and crescents fills the upper field. The overall composition exemplifies the geometric ornamental programme of the Cotswold Crosses type, with no inscription. |
