Reverse description Two stylised horses depicted facing one another in a confronted arrangement, their forms rendered in the fluid, abstract curvilinear style of late Iron Age Celtic coinage. The horses' bodies are articulated through bold relief curves, with annulets, pellets, and foliate sprays filling the surrounding field as subsidiary ornaments. A central dividing motif separates the two equine figures, and the lower field is decorated with additional pellet-and-arc devices. The entire design is uninscribed and reflects the progressive abstraction of the Gallo-Belgic prototype from which Atrebatic coinage derived.
