| Description du revers | The crowned arms of the Dutch Generality — a rampant lion within a shield — occupy the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The heraldic lion is depicted passant-rampant, facing left, within a quartered or plain shield surmounted by an elaborate crown whose arches are visible above. The mint mark of the Middelburg mint appears above the crown. The surrounding circular legend in Latin capital letters runs along the full circumference within a beaded border, with ornamental stops separating the words. |
