Obverse description Facing Gorgoneion (Metus) rendered in archaic style, depicted full face with prominent wide eyes, protruding tongue, and serpentine hair radiating outward within a beaded border. The visage is boldly struck in high relief, conveying the apotropaic character typical of early Etruscan coinage. Below the Gorgoneion, the numeral X denotes the denomination of 10 Asses.
