| Descripción del anverso |
A large amphora occupies the central field, with the sinuous tentacles of an octopus emerging from behind and around the vessel, rendered in a lively archaic style characteristic of Etruscan coinage. The amphora is depicted with a rounded body and two handles, the octopus tentacles spreading dynamically across the field in multiple directions. Below the amphora, the denomination mark X (denoting 10 asses) appears in the exergual area. The overall composition is boldly struck within the irregular flan, with the design elements filling the field in high relief. |

| Descripción del reverso |
The reverse is entirely plain and uninscribed, this being a uniface issue in which the die was applied to one side only, leaving the reverse as a flat or slightly concave blank surface, as is characteristic of early Etruscan silver coinage from Populonia. |
