Obverse description Draped bust of Hera facing left, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style. The goddess wears an elaborate stephane adorned with a row of pellets, with her hair dressed in a netted coiffure falling to the nape of the neck and gathered in a beaded pendant. A delicate pearl necklace is visible at her throat. The portraiture is executed with considerable artistic refinement, the facial features displaying a serene, idealized expression characteristic of 5th-century Pontic coinage.
