Each quadrant of the cross contains characters from the royal legend, while the interstitial spaces bear small decorative rosette or floral ornaments. Scrolling foliate borders frame the central device, and a raised beaded border follows the curved periphery of the semicircular flan, consistent with hammered Nepalese mint production of the period. |
