| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious legend executed in bold, deeply struck nasta'liq-influenced script characteristic of Safavid hammered coinage. The central inscription bears the Shi'a kalima — the declaration of faith — followed by the names of the Twelve Imams. The lettering fills the flan from edge to edge, with individual words densely intertwined across the irregularly shaped planchet. The strike is typical of the period, with areas of weakness at the periphery reflecting the hand-hammered technique. No pictorial devices or geometric borders are present; the design is entirely epigraphic. |
