The effigy displays a laurel wreath crowning curly hair, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. Virtus, helmeted and in military dress, stands to the left holding a parazonium in her right hand and a sceptre in her left, with her right foot resting on a helmet. The reverse legend HONOS ET VIRTVS appears in the field with the senatorial authority mark S C prominently placed, referencing the traditional Roman values of honour and valour championed by Vitellius during his brief reign. |
