The effigy displays a laurel wreath crowning curly hair, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature legend in Latin, distributed around the bust within a dotted border. The portrait conveys a naturalistic style consistent with Roman imperial mint production of AD 69. |

| Description du revers | Standing figures of Honos and Virtus face one another in the field. Honos, draped, stands to the right holding a sceptre in his right hand and a cornucopiae in his left. Virtus, helmeted and in military dress, stands to the left holding a parazonium in her right hand and a sceptre in her left, with her right foot resting on a helmet. The reverse legend HONOS ET VIRTVS appears in the field with the senatorial authority mark S C prominently placed, referencing the traditional Roman values of honour and valour championed by Vitellius during his brief reign. |
