| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Vitellius facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic fleshy portraiture typical of the Year of the Four Emperors coinage. The effigy displays a laurel wreath crowning curly hair, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature legend in Latin, distributed around the bust within a dotted border. The portrait conveys a naturalistic style consistent with Roman imperial mint production of AD 69. |
