Beschrijving voorzijde Laureate bust of Vespasian facing left, with draped shoulder visible, rendered in the realistic portraiture style characteristic of Flavian coinage. The emperor's features are boldly modeled, with a strong jaw and aged physiognomy typical of Vespasian's official image. The encircling legend runs from lower left around the periphery of the field. The portrait occupies the majority of the obverse field and exhibits the vigorous relief typical of Julio-Claudian and Flavian bronze coinage produced at Rome.

(Translation: Imperator Caesar Vespasianus Augustus Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Pater Patriae, Consul Octavum. Supreme commander (Imperator) Caesar Vespasian, emperor (Augustus), high priest, holder of tribunician power, father of the nation, consul for the eighth time.)
Beschrijving keerzijde Annona, the personification of the Roman grain supply, seated left on a throne or chair, holding a sack of grain ears in her right hand. The figure is rendered in classical style with drapery falling across the lower body, the composition conveying the importance of the imperial grain supply to Roman public life. The senatorial mark of authority, S C (Senatus Consultum), appears flanking the central figure in the left and right fields respectively. The reverse legend runs around the upper and left periphery, identifying the allegorical subject.
