The exergual field carries the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) flanking the temple. The legend PACE P R TERRA MARIQ PARTA IANVM CLVSIT encircles the design, commemorating Nero's declaration of peace on land and sea and the consequent closing of the temple gates. |
