Ceres, veiled and draped, is seated to the left, holding corn-ears in her right hand and an upright torch in her left; she faces Annona, draped and standing to the right, her right hand resting on her hip while her left arm supports a large cornucopiae. Between the two figures, a modius rests atop a garlanded altar at center, while a ship's stern rises prominently in the background to the right, symbolizing the maritime grain supply of Rome.
