Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Nero facing left, rendered in high relief with careful attention to the emperor's characteristic physiognomy, including full neck and youthful features. The effigy is undrapped, presenting the imperial portrait in the manner typical of Neronian sestertii struck at Rome. The surrounding field is plain, with the full titulature legend distributed around the periphery within a finely beaded border.

Reverse description A richly composed allegorical scene occupying the full reverse field, depicting two female personifications in facing positions. Ceres, veiled and draped, is seated to the left, holding corn-ears in her right hand and an upright torch in her left; she faces Annona, draped and standing to the right, her right hand resting on her hip while her left arm supports a large cornucopiae. Between the two figures, a modius rests atop a garlanded altar at center, while a ship's stern rises prominently in the background to the right, symbolizing the maritime grain supply of Rome. The legend ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES appears in the upper field and exergue area, with the senatorial authorization mark S C flanking the composition in the lower field.
