| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate bust of Nero facing right, rendered with characteristic youthful portraiture and an aegis at the neck, a detail emphasizing imperial and divine authority. The effigy displays finely engraved hair curling over the brow and nape in the Julio-Claudian style. The encircling legend is deeply struck in Latin capitals along the outer periphery of the flan. The field is broad and relatively flat, consistent with large-module orichalcum-era sestertii of the Neronian period. Overall, the portrait conveys the idealized yet recognizable likeness employed in Nero's official coinage from the Rome mint. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Ceres, veiled and draped, is seated to the left holding corn-ears in her right hand and a long torch in her left, facing the standing figure of Annona, who is draped and turns to the right with her right hand resting on her hip and her left arm cradling a cornucopiae. Between the two allegorical figures, a modius rests atop a garlanded altar, symbolizing Rome's grain supply. In the background to the right, the stern of a ship is visible, alluding to the maritime grain trade that sustained the city. The reverse legend is distributed across the field, with the senatorial authority mark S C flanking the central composition in the exergual area. |
