| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Hadrian facing left, viewed from the rear, with the drapery clearly visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic style, featuring a full beard and strongly modelled facial features. The encircling obverse legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan in Latin characters. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Virtus, personification of military virtue and courage, stands facing left in martial attire, her right foot resting upon a helmet placed in the field before her. She holds a parazonium (short sword) in her left hand and an upright spear in her right. The reverse legend is distributed around the periphery, with the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed in the lower field to either side of the figure, as was customary on aes coinage of the period. |
