The "FORT RED" legend — Fortuna Redux, "Fortune the Returner" — was specifically tied to Hadrian's return to Rome following his first great provincial tour, a journey that had taken him through Gaul, Britain, Spain, Mauretania, and the East over roughly four years ending around 125 AD.
