| Obverse description | Diademed head of Herakles facing right, rendered in a vigorous Campanian style characteristic of the Second Punic War period. The hero's muscular neck and curly hair are visible beneath the diadem, with a club resting over the left shoulder serving as his principal attribute. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the typical patina of a hammered bronze issue. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse field. |
