Obverse description Laureate bust of Tiberius facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the restrained classical style typical of Julio-Claudian portraiture. The effigy displays a firm, idealised profile with a prominent nose and strong chin. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, identifying the emperor by his titles and imperial acclamation number. The coin's flan shows the irregular, slightly convex surface characteristic of hand-struck bronze issues from the Lugdunum mint. A beaded border frames the design.
