| Obverse description | Bare head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in profile with naturalistic portraiture characteristic of early Julio-Claudian coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive features with close-cropped hair. The encircling Latin legend runs along the inner border of the coin, identifying the subject by his titles and imperial acclamation number. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |
