Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Paestan coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic imperial effigy with a wreath of laurel leaves crowning the head. The abbreviated colonial legend P S S C appears in the field, denoting the Paestan civic authority and the senatorial decree authorizing the issue. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the Julio-Claudian period.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering P S S C
(Translation: of the Paestans, semis, by decree of the senate.)
