| Reverse description | A palm tree or stylized floral motif occupies the central field of the reverse, a device commonly associated with the civic coinage of Kastilo (modern Cazlona, in the upper Guadalquivir valley). The design is executed in a robust, somewhat schematic manner consistent with provincial Iberian hammered bronzes. An inscription in the Meridional Iberian script appears in the field, reading the toponym of the issuing city. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, with a dark patina masking portions of the legend and design. |
