Reverse description A cornucopiae, abundantly filled with fruit and foliage, occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief against a plain background. To the left of the cornucopiae, the magistrate's abbreviated legend L.C.Q. is inscribed vertically, identifying the issuing monetary authority. To the right, the colonial ethnic COPIA appears, confirming the mint attribution to the Latin colony of Copia-Thurii in Bruttium. The composition is characteristically spare and emblematic, reflecting standard practice for Roman colonial bronze coinage of the early second century BC.
