Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Duke Rinaldo I with an elaborate long allonge wig falling over the shoulders, rendered in the Baroque court portrait style characteristic of early 18th-century Italian coinage. The effigy is depicted with naturalistic detail, including lace cravat and armored shoulder visible at the truncation. The date 1719 appears at the base of the bust, below the truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads RAYNALDUS·I·MVT·R·M·EC·I·DVX, identifying the ruler as Rinaldo I, Duke of Modena, Reggio, and Massa-Carrara.
