| Beschrijving keerzijde | A beaded standard occupies the central field, constructed of geometric pellet-and-line elements arranged in a square framework, with a pellet-in-annulet at the centre. Saltire crosses are placed in each of the four corners of the standard, and pellets fill the intervening spaces between the arms of the cross and the border. The overall design is enclosed within a beaded or pelleted outer border and exhibits the bold, schematic geometric style characteristic of Series G sceatta reverses, ultimately derived from the Roman VICTORIA AVGGG standard type. |
