Reverse description Central field contains multi-line Arabic and Persian legends in Nasta'liq script, likely bearing the name of the Khan (Mahdi Quli Khan), the mint name, and the regnal or Hijri date. The inscriptions are arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, with a beaded border encircling the design. The irregular, hand-struck flan is characteristic of hammered khanate silver coinage of the early nineteenth century.
