Obverse description Two-line Persian inscription in bold Nasta'liq script, divided by a horizontal line across the field. The legend reads: 'The order came from the King of Kings, Nader Sahib-Qiran,' referencing Nader Shah's imperial title. The calligraphy is struck in high relief on an irregularly shaped flan, characteristic of hammered Afsharid coinage. The field is plain with no additional ornamental devices.
