Reverse description Central field depicts a frontal bull's head caboshed within an oval cartouche adorned with foliate scroll ornaments on either side, representing the heraldic device of the House of Pernstein. The bull's head is rendered with considerable relief and fine detail, consistent with Bohemian Renaissance engraving traditions of the late sixteenth century. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the central cartouche, reading POLIXENA Z PERNSSTEINA, identifying Polyxena of Pernstein. The composition is well-centered and framed by a beaded inner border, with the legend occupying the outer ring of the flan.
