| Beschrijving keerzijde | An owl stands facing on a Corinthian capital, wings closed and rendered with fine feather detail across the breast and back. To the upper left of the owl appears the partial legend TIATI (retrograde or abbreviated form of the city ethnic Teate), and to the upper right a crescent symbol. Five pellets arranged vertically to the right of the owl denote the quincunx denomination (5/12 of the as). The composition closely echoes Athenian numismatic iconography, adapted for the Oscan civic coinage of Teate. |
