| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style characteristic of the Trajanic period. The emperor's features are sharply defined, with a strong jaw and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The bust is set within a beaded border, with the imperial titulature legend running continuously around the periphery of the flan. The drapery over the left shoulder indicates a paludamentum fastened at the breast, conveying military authority. The die work is bold and competent, typical of the Rome mint's output during the Dacian War era. |
