Obverse description Laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and a laurel wreath secured across the brow. The portrait displays the characteristic idealized realism of Julio-Claudian imperial coinage, with a clean profile and bare neck. The surrounding legend TI DIVI F AVGVSTVS runs clockwise in Latin capitals within a beaded inner border. The entire design is contained within a raised rim, consistent with hammered gold coinage of the Roman imperial period. The flan is slightly irregular in outline, typical of hand-struck aurei of this era.
