The broad blade field is divided by a raised horizontal ridge into upper and lower registers, each containing incuse cast Chinese characters in archaic script. Five characters reading 節墨之法化 (Ji Mo Zhi Fa Hua, meaning 'Jimo's legal money') are arranged vertically within a recessed rectangular panel defined by raised border lines. The blade curves gracefully at the spine, tapering to a rounded tip, with the characteristic Qi knife form featuring a distinct curved back and straight cutting edge. The surface displays a rich green patina consistent with ancient bronze.
