Additional information

The Qrim mint operated as one of the earliest copper-striking facilities in Golden Horde territory, producing puls for local market circulation when silver coinage was reserved for tribute and long-distance trade. This issue predates the reign of Muhammad Uzbeg Khan, whose ascension in 1313 brought Islam as the official state religion and fundamentally restructured the Horde's monetary administration — making pre-Uzbeg Qrim copper a document of the transitional period before that consolidation.
