| Obverse description | Arabic legend in Naskh script occupying the central field, reading the mint name and regnal formula identifying Saray al-Jadida as the place of issue, with the date of striking where present. The inscription is arranged in multiple lines within the flan, typical of Golden Horde copper coinage of the mid-14th century. The hammered flan is irregular and slightly convex, and the coin shows a green patina consistent with prolonged burial. The lettering is boldly raised but unevenly struck, a characteristic feature of Jani Beg-era puls from the New Saray mint. |
