The rosette consists of radiating petals arranged symmetrically around a central boss, a decorative device commonly employed on Golden Horde copper puls of the Jani Beg period. The design fills most of the flan and is enclosed by a plain linear border, partially visible on this irregular hammered planchet. The surface exhibits heavy green cuprite patina with areas of earthen encrustation. |
