The imperial titulature references Shah Alam II as nominal Mughal sovereign, invoking his role as Defender of the Faith of Islam and citing divine favour. Decorative foliate and star-shaped ornaments punctuate the legend in the field, a typical stylistic feature of late Mughal-derived coinage. The design follows the established Mughal epigraphic tradition, with no figurative imagery, the inscriptions themselves serving as the primary decorative and identificatory element.
