| Opis rewersu | A highly stylised bull advancing to the left, rendered in bold, deeply cast relief in the insular Celtic artistic tradition. The animal's body is depicted as a large rounded mass with a prominent humped back, the head lowered and the muzzle indicated by a projecting arc. Two curved horns rise above the head into the upper field, and a lashing tail curves upward to the rear. The legs are reduced to short, vestigial stumps below the body mass. The field is plain and the flan edge is irregular, consistent with the cast production technique of Cantian potin issues. |
