| Obverse description | Frontal half-length effigy of a bishop shown from the waist up, facing the viewer, holding a crosier in his right hand and a book in his left. The figure is rendered in a schematic Romanesque style with dotted decorative detail on the vestments. The design is contained within a beaded or rope-like inner circle, with the coarse, irregular flan typical of hammered bracteate-style pfennigs of the period. No legend is present. |
