| Obverse description | Within a plain inner circle, two stylized fish are depicted in profile, one above the other, facing right, rendered in a schematic Romanesque style characteristic of Friesach bracteate-influenced coinage. The fish are shown with clearly defined scales, eye, and fin details, executed in low relief against a flat field. A partial Latin legend is arranged along the upper rim of the coin, partially legible due to the irregular flan. The overall composition is centered within a beaded or plain border, consistent with hammered Pfennig production of early 13th-century Carinthian mints. |
